Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or have years of experience, all skill levels are welcome. Coach Randall Dibble is passionate about helping every student improve their technique, build confidence, and reach their goals in a supportive and encouraging environment. Classes are open to both men and women and are no-gi.

Tuesday: 6-7:30 PM

Thursday: 7:30-8:30 PM

At Great Lakes - Black Tie Jiu Jitsu, we welcome athletes of all experience levels.

Our instruction combines the Constraint-Led Approach (CLA) with direct technical instruction.

CLA involves various games where grapplers are given specific tasks and the freedom to solve them creatively. By providing specific objectives and limitations, students develop an intuitive understanding of positions and submissions.

CLA it is most effective when paired with direct instruction, using direct instruction to teach precise technical solutions to specific problems.

Having a coach with a deep technical understanding of Jiu Jitsu, enables athletes to develop their understanding and skills at a much faster pace. Please check out the YouTube video.

Black Tie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Our Jiu Jitsu lineage is through Black Tie Jiu Jitsu.

Black Tie was founded by 3rd degree black belt Corey Brown out of Cape Coral Florida in 2016.

Great Lakes is now one of twelve affiliate schools across five states.
