What do you enjoy most about wrestling? The thing I enjoy most about wrestling is how difficult it is. Wrestling isn’t something you can just pick up and immediately know and thrive in, but it’s something that takes hard work and serious dedication.

What has been your biggest challenge when wrestling, and how have you overcome it? Similar to the athlete before me [Grayson Sutton], I’ve only been wrestling for 3 years, so it’s a challenge to go against those who have had far more mat experience than me, but that’s why I’m here at GLTC, to get better.

How do you prepare mentally before a match, or do you have a pre-match routine? My pre match routine this year was to calm myself down, tons of wrestlers stress and get nervous before their matches, and so do I. But I like to pace myself back and forth, and really think about how I should go out there and do my best.

What's one thing your teammates would say about you? I believe my teammates would definitely consider me a jokester in the room, but if you asked what they thought of me, all of them could tell you how dedicated I am to being one of the best.

What motivates you every day? My biggest motivation in wrestling are my teammates. During my freshman year of high school I had an amazing class of seniors who taught me most things I know today about this sport, and they’ve immensely grown my love for wrestling.

Outside of wrestling, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy? Outside of wrestling I really enjoy the performing arts, and spending quality time with my friends and family.

Bryant also shared his own suggestion for a question, which was wonderful: “How has your experience at GLTC been?” I’ve had a lovely experience here, from the warm welcomes before practice starts, the exhausting drilling with my amazing practice partner, and our great coaches who want nothing but the best for us.
